M. Victoria Marx, MD
Dr. M. Victoria Marx completed her residency in Diagnostic Radiology at Ohio State University in 1986. She then did an additional two years of fellowship training at Washington University in St. Louis, one year in Abdominal Imaging and one year in Interventional Radiology. She spent 10 years on the faculty of University of Michigan, leaving there in 1999 to become Director of Education of the USC Keck School of Medicine Department of Radiology. She has extensive experience doing, and training others to do, minimally invasive image-guided procedures such as vessel embolization, tumor embolization, biliary intervention, vascular recanalization and stent placement. She, along with her colleagues on the Interventional Radiology team, provide a wide range of image guided therapies to patients cared for in the USC Hepatocellular Carcinoma program. These include angiography, embolization, tumor ablation, TIPS, liver biopsy, hepatic chemotherapy, biliary drainage, and vascular access. Her interests also include radiation safety, and occupational safety. She is well-known nationally and is a sought-after speaker at medical education courses.
